Problem: It was especially tough to advertise newly released music during COVID lockdown. It seemed every musician recorded an album then, and it was particularly difficult to stand out in an overcrowded field.
Insight: Humor, eye-catching branding, and a unique voice could elevate a band’s release above the droves of other musical releases.
Solution: Release a series of 90s-esque animations on social media with humorous taglines, written in a distinctly 90s self-effacing “slacker” voice.
